We are a Kenyan tour operator, 11 years in, working out of a small office on Ngong Road in Nairobi. The guides who meet you are our colleagues and the Land Cruisers are our own. Write to us about a safari and somebody at one of these desks writes back, having been where you are going.

How this started
Kiboko was registered in 2015 by people who had already spent years driving and guiding for other companies — long enough to know what goes wrong on a safari and who it goes wrong for.
Most of what goes wrong is not dramatic. A lodge that was booked and then was not. A vehicle with a middle seat nobody can see out of. A guide who can name the animals but cannot tell you anything about them. A quote that grows between the email and the airport.
So the company was built around the unglamorous half: our own Land Cruisers rather than hired ones, guides on our own payroll who are named in the reviews by travellers who remember them, a maximum of seven people in a vehicle so everyone has a window, and a price that is the price.
11 years later that is still the whole business. We run private safaris built around one party, and scheduled group departures you can take a single seat on. Both leave from the same yard, in the same vehicles, with the same guides.

The guides are the trip. Ours are employed, not freelanced in for the week, which is why travellers keep naming the same ones in reviews they wrote years apart — Chris, Sammy, Erick, Weston, Danson.
Every one of them is licensed, drives their own vehicle and has spent their working life in these parks.
How a safari with us actually goes
No part of this is automated. A person does each step.
- You tell us roughly what you want Dates, how long, how many of you, and what you most want to see. A rough answer is enough to start.
- We come back with a route and a price Usually within a day, with the lodges named and the costs itemised — including what is not included.
- We change it until it is right Nobody books the first draft. We will also tell you when something is not worth doing.
- A deposit holds it Lodges and park permits get booked against your name. The balance is due before you travel, not on arrival.
- We meet you at the airport Your guide, in your vehicle. You have their number and the office number for the whole trip.

Unforgettable Safari from Start to Finish
This was the perfect safari experience, flawlessly organized from beginning to end. Everything ran smoothly and we felt cared for throughout the whole trip.
Our guide was outstanding: so knowledgeable, committed, and kind. Thanks to him, we were able to see majestic elephants up close, lions resting in the grasslands, and even cheetahs gracefully moving across the plains. He always positioned us perfectly for the best view and explained the behavior of the animals in a way that made every sighting unforgettable.
It was a journey full of breathtaking landscapes, incredible wildlife, and true passion from the people who made it happen. We couldn't recommend Kiboko Tours more highly. It was the safari of a lifetime.

Amazing Safari, Amazing Guide
We had an amazing safari and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everything was well organized, and every game drive was enjoyable.
A huge thank you to our guide, Chris, who made the trip extra special. He was knowledgeable, passionate, and shared so much with us, not just about the animals and the bush, but also about the local culture and community. Best safari experience & best guide ever!
Wonderful safari trip with Kiboko! Our guide Chris was super nice and experienced, we got to see the big 5 on our very first Safari in Kenya. The overall accommodation arranged was really comfortable and this trip definitely was a bomb stress reliever! Highly recommend to book with them and especially travel with Chris for the best safari experience :)

Fantastic experience with great memories!
We had a fantastic time in Masai Mara and a well organised trip to Nakuru and Naivasha over three days. Chris our driver was incredible, his knowledge was unending and also a great laugh to talk to. He was extremely quick and eager to get us to animals with a good view too. Highly recommend Kiboko!

Magic Africa
The experience with Kiboko was fantastic, there were no downsides. Our guide Sammy accompanied us for 5 days, starting in Nairobi, passing through Amboseli National Park, the Taita Hills Sanctuary, Tsavo East, and finally saying goodbye to us in Watamu, where we ended our trip relaxing on the white beaches. The jeep was very comfortable and spacious; we were just a couple, but it would have comfortably accommodated 4 more people. Sammy showed us enchanting places within the parks, where we saw countless animals (elephants, zebras, various species of gazelle, wildebeest, warthogs, ostriches, buffalo, monkeys, hippos, cheetahs, lions, and many others), sharing various anecdotes with us. All the lodges where we stayed were incredible, each with different characteristics and truly helpful and kind staff. The landscapes are truly breathtaking, especially in Amboseli, where we admired the snow-capped Kilimanjaro.
Despite the many hours of driving, the trip wasn't tiring; Sammy was also a great driver.

9 Day Kenya Wildlife Safari
My 9 day Safari with Kiboko Tours and Travel has been excellent! The organization and communication before & during the trip was solid & fast. I have felt welcome and taken care of during the whole trip.
My guide Erick was very nice company, knowledgeable about culture & nature as well as a great problem solver.
The lodges where I stayed were very high level and beautifully appointed! Last, but not least, Kenya's wildlife is simply astonishing! I can highly recommend Kiboko & Erick for your safari in Kenya!

An unforgettable Safari experience
Everything was beyond amazing. We made such beautiful memories on this safari, which we'll never forget. Our experience wouldn't have been the same without Sammy.
He was super friendly, knowledgeable & passionate about wildlife. He answered every single question we had and knew exactly when to stop so we could take our pictures. He really went above & beyond. Our stay at the different hotels was amazing too. The hospitality of every single staff member was admirable.

Fantastic Safari with the best Guide, Weston.
Our Safari with Kiboko was fabulous. It was not a holiday, but an adventure! Busy days with lots of travel and heaps of experiences. Our Guide, Weston, was the absolute best, making our Safari even better with his personal touches. Weston was informative, a safe driver, caring and obliging. He always was smiling and made sure nobody missed out on anything. Would highly recommend.

Safari Extraordinaire
Our safari through Kiboko Tours & Travel with our guide Sammy exceeded our expectations. We delighted in seeing so many wild African animals and the huge variety of birds we were able see and identify. Sammy was very patient with our group and understood that we were just as interested in seeing the birds as we were the large mammals. He was knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the National Parks we were in and willing to take the time to help us identify birds that he had not seen or identified before. Sammy was always respectful of others but always got us into a great position to photograph the animals even when other guides were rude with their vehicle placement.
