5-Day Tanzania Classic Wildlife Safari

Route: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha.

Tarangire, a full day in the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater floor, with enough time in each park to go beyond the first sighting. Five days, four nights under canvas, shared with a small group in a pop-up-roof Land Cruiser.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

• Depart Arusha after a short safari briefing from your driver-guide.
• Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds.
• Enjoy a game drive through the park in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and various antelope species.
• Picnic lunch inside the park.
• Continue with an afternoon game drive before exiting the park.
• Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

• Early breakfast at camp.
• Depart for Serengeti National Park via the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
• Travel through the beautiful highlands and forests where wildlife sightings are possible along the way.
• Lunch en route.
• Arrive in Serengeti and enjoy an afternoon game drive across the endless plains.
• Search for lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests.
• Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

• Early breakfast at camp.
• Spend the day exploring the vast savannahs of Serengeti National Park.
• Enjoy extensive game drives in search of the Big Cats, large herbivore herds, and, seasonally, the Great Migration.
• Picnic lunch in the park.
• Continue wildlife viewing throughout the afternoon.
• Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

• Breakfast at camp.
• Morning game drive as you depart the Serengeti.
• Enjoy an en-route game drive through different sections of the park, offering opportunities to spot wildlife missed during previous days.
• Continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
• Arrive at the crater rim in the late afternoon.
• Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

• Early morning breakfast.
• Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive.
• Explore one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations, home to the Big Five and a high concentration of animals.
• Enjoy a picnic lunch near the famous hippo pool.
• Continue wildlife viewing before ascending the crater.
• Drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.

Rates (per person sharing)

Rates are in US dollars, per person sharing accommodation. The single supplement applies if you would rather not share. A 30% deposit confirms your seat; the balance is paid in cash on the day of departure.
