3 Days
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Depart from Entebbe/Kampala for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in southwestern Uganda. The scenic drive takes 8–9 hours, showcasing beautiful landscapes, plantations, hills, and the Virunga Mountain ranges. A stopover at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe offers a great photo opportunity and a unique experiment. Enjoy lunch in Mbarara town before continuing the scenic drive to Bwindi for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi After an early breakfast, drive to Ruhija Park Headquarters for a briefing before starting the gorilla trek. The trek can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the gorillas' location. Once you find them, you will spend one hour observing and photographing these gentle creatures. After the trek, return to the headquarters to receive your certificate for successfully tracking gorillas in Uganda.
Day 3: Return to Kampala/Entebbe After breakfast, begin the drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy another stop at the Equator crossing for photo opportunities, souvenir shopping, or a relaxing break before continuing the journey. You may opt to fly out of Uganda on this day or arrange post-tour accommodation.
