Montane Forests

A montane forest, also known as a mountain forest, is a type of forest found in mountainous regions. These forests typically exist at elevations above 1,000 meters (3,281 feet) and are characterized by cooler temperatures and higher rainfall compared to lowland areas. Montane forests often have a mix of tree species, including both deciduous and evergreen trees. The diverse plant life supports a wide range of animals, including birds, mammals, and insects.
