Ruaha National Park

Ruaha National Park, located in central Tanzania, is the country's largest national park, spanning over 20,000 square kilometers. It is famous for its rugged landscapes, including vast savannahs, acacia woodlands, and the Great Ruaha River, which attracts diverse wildlife. The park is home to large populations of elephants, lions, leopards, and a variety of antelope species, including the rare sable and roan antelopes. Ruaha also boasts a rich birdlife with over 570 species recorded. Its remote location offers visitors an authentic wilderness experience with fewer crowds than other parks.
